Joe'D was my cousin. We were the first borns of the family Carrico/Hall. We were more like brother and sister, and I always called him my "Brocuz". I miss him, and I am glad that I got to see him in June of 2006, after he begged me to come "home". Only for him would I do that, and I drove over 1,700 miles just to do that! I got all the Cousins together to have a reunion, and Joe'D was as happy as he could have been at the time, after losing his only son Joseph, and the constant health battles he endured for so long. Joe'D waited exactly 7 months and 14 days after Josephs death to join him. He told me before I drove back home to Utah from Indiana, he wanted to go and be with his Joseph. I talked to him within the hour before he left this earth. I promised to take care of Leslie and Carmen. I love him, and I miss him. ~ Penny L Hall

I am Joe'D's cousin Penny. I met you guy's at Joe's funeral. I wanted to thank you for putting a headstone on Joe's grave, and for being the good friends that you were to Joe. Joe was "one of a kind", and the mold was broken. I miss him on Earth, however I know that I will see him again, and that he is still "playing" where he is. Music was always a huge part of his life, even when he was very young. I remember when he took piano lessons when we about 8 or 9, and he wanted to be out with his friend playing football or something other than the lessons. He taught me a few of his lessons, so that I could sit and practice, while he would sneak out with his bud's. Amazingly, we got away with that for quite a while, until his Mom was dusting the half-wall between the living room and dining room and caught me being Joe'D, while he was off wherever. Needless to say, we didn't get away with that ruse after that. I never did get to hear Joe's music after 1973, when I left Indiana. I regret that........ Penny Hall
